Hull are hopeful of landing free agent Hal Robson-Kanu ahead of their rivals as they plan further talks with the Wales international.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce admitted earlier this week that he is keen on adding the 27-year-old to his ranks and has made the capture of the forward one of his top priorities.
However, Robson-Kanu’s excellent form for Wales at Euro 2016 has attracted the attention of Everton, Leicester City and Swansea, who are all keen to speak to his camp.
Hull, who are 4/5 with Titanbet to be relegated, have had to move quickly as a result of the interest from elsewhere, holding talks with Robson-Kanu’s brother and father on Thursday, with further negotiations planned.
The Tigers are said to be confident of securing the former Reading man, who left the Championship side when his contract expired last month, and believe the offer of a long-term deal could tempt him to move to the KC Stadium.
