Stoke boss Mark Hughes is being linked with a move to Everton as doubts surround the future of Roberto Martinez at Goodison Park.
Martinez is coming under increasing pressure following a disappointing season on the blue half of Merseyside, and reports are growing that he is facing the axe.
The Spaniard could be on his way at the end of the season and Hughes has emerged as a serious contender to replace him should that be the case.
Hughes has worked wonders since taking charge at the Britannia Stadium, and according to reports Everton’s new majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is a big fan and wants him on board.
Hughes has been backed to the hilt during his time at the club and it remains to be seen if he would consider jumping ship if the Toffees made an approach.
