Arsenal could make a summer move for Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Naby Keita, but will need to break Austria’s transfer record.
The Gunners sent a scout to watch the 21-year-old in action earlier this month when Salzburg beat Mattersburg in a league match.
Keita has been likened to former Red Bull star Sadio Mane – who Southampton snapped up for a fee of £12million in 2014 – and it could take more than that to prise the player away.
Keita is under contract at Red Bull arena until 2021 and reports in Austria have claimed there are other top clubs also interested in him.
Keita, who has 12 caps for Guinea, lost consciousness hours after his country’s 0-0 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying draw with Malawi last week and spent the night in hospital.
