Southampton are being linked with a summer swoop to sign Celtic’s highly-rated 18-year-old left-back Kieran Tierney.
The youngster, who moved to the Glasgow outfit as a seven-year-old, has worked his way through the youth ranks to become the first choice in his position ahead of Emilio Izaguirre.
Tierney has made over 20 appearances this season for Hoops boss Ronny Deila while he also made his Scotland debut against Denmark on Tuesday night.
His form has alerted several Premier League clubs south of the border with reports in Scotland suggesting that the Saints will prepare a new raid on Celtic.
The St Mary’s side have already taken Victor Wanyama, Fraser Forster and Virgil van Dijk in the past and look set to lodge a big-money bid for Tierney this summer.
If he is signed then boss Ronald Koeman could be pondering a sale because he currently has Ryan Bertrand and Matt Targett vying for the left-back spot this term.
