Norwich boss Alex Neil believes Wes Hoolahan will have a crucial role to play as the Canaries look to win their fight for survival.
Hoolahan was back in the Canaries side for the first time since March 12 when they took on Arsenal last weekend, and Neil was delighted with his performance.
The Republic of Ireland star set up Nathan Redmond, who squandered and excellent opportunity, before his lack of game time caught up with him and he was replaced.
Even so, Hoolahan showed his quality and more of that will be needed if Norwich are to beat the drop.
“I thought he started to tire and what tends to happen when he is becoming tired is he drifts to the wide areas and hangs about hoping to get the ball on the counter,” said Neil.
“When you are playing Arsenal away you need someone who is going to get back in and work. I spoke to him after the game and he felt a bit fatigued because he has not played for a few weeks.
“I thought he did well up to that point. We needed to go a bit more direct and play two up the middle.”
