Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has claimed that forward Bertrand Traore has earned his chance to lead the Chelsea attack.
Traore was given his chance on Saturday during the 1-1 draw with Stoke at Stamford Bridge after an injury to striker Diego Costa.
Frenchman Loic Remy was surprisingly left on the bench but Traore repaid Hiddink for his faith after opening the scoring in the first-half.
His 20 yard effort was not enough to earn all three points but the Dutchman insists his forward can lead the line in the future.
“You see in parts of the game that he has quality,” he said.
“He has shown that already when he has come on. It’s a little bit different when you start at Stamford Bridge from the beginning.
“You can see he has quality but young players have to try to control and dominate their nerves and you could see that at the beginning.
“But he showed with the goal that he has the capacity to do a lot.
