Anthony Martial has praised Tottenham striker Harry Kane ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Spurs this weekend.
The Red Devils head to White Hart Lane on Sunday looking to remain in the hunt for a top four finish, but they will be coming up against the Premier League top scorer in Kane.
The 22-year-old has netted 22 goals this term, leading the scoring charts ahead of Jamie Vardy – who has 19 strikes to his name.
His strike against Liverpool broke the record for seasonal league goals scored by a Spurs player since the start of the Premier League, and with six goals in his last four games, United will fear facing the England international.
Ahead of the clash in North London, Kane has been drawing praise from all corners, with Red Devils striker Martial speaking highly of his rival striker.
“He’s a top player and he’s also still only young,” Martial told MUTV.
“He had a great season last year and he’s underlined just how good he is this time around. He’s a quality player who is very entertaining to watch.”
Martial himself has impressed this season, netting 14 goals, but he is aware he will face off against a tough defence this weekend.
Spurs have the strongest defensive record in the Premier League, conceding only 25 times, and the French forward has been impressed with the Lilywhites’ back-line.
He added: “Spurs are a team who defend well with a lot of aggression and stay compact as a unit.
“They have a lot of ability up top and that’s why they find themselves currently in second place in the table.”
