Hull are reported to be closing in on a move for Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick after agreeing a £10million fee with the Rams.
The Tigers are stepping up their attempts to sign a host of players before Wednesday’s transfer deadline, and Hendrick is high on their list of targets.
The Republic of Ireland star is also on the wanted list of Premier League rivals Burnley, who have failed with a number of bids, but it is now Hull who are leading the race.
Derby have accepted the £10million bid and as long as there is no problem with the medical and personal terms are agreed, the deal will go through before the window shuts.
Hull are also in the hunt for Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason, with an £8million offer reported to be on the table for the 25-year-old.
