The Real Madrid forward has enjoyed a phenomenal career for club and country, winning trophies and individual accolades galore.

Starting out with Sporting in Lisbon, Ronaldo was signed by Manchester United  in 2003 for a bargain £12m fee, and went on to join six brilliant years at Old Trafford.

He won three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups and the Champions League while playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, as well as picking up the 2008 Ballon d’Or.

A world record £80m move followed to Real in 2009, and in Spain he has landed two La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and three more Champions Leagues – as well as four more Ballon d’Ors.

All told, he has 426 goals in 421 games for Real, including an incredible 61 from 54 games in 2014-15.

A hero for his country as well, Ronaldo is the most-capped player with 147 and all-time top scorer with 79, and captained Portugal to their first ever major trophy – Euro 2016.
