After calling time on their chase for Carlos Bacca, West Ham are to turn their attentions towards Swansea forward Andre Ayew.
Bacca has stalled on a move to the Hammers, after a fee had been agreed with AC Milan, as he is looking for Champions League football so boss Slaven Bilic has turned his attentions to Ayew instead.
There has been speculation surrounding Ayew throughout the summer with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea said to hold an interest.
Serie A side Napoli have also been linked with the Ghanaian but tabloid reports claim West Ham are now the frontrunners and are confident of securing the forward in a £16m deal.
However, Swansea are under no pressure to sell as Ayew is under contract until 2019 and, if it does become clear the former Marseille man is actively seeking a move away from the Liberty Stadium, the Welsh club will want a replacement lined up.
