Guus Hiddink expects Diego Costa to be fit for this summer’s European Championships – despite suffering another hamstring injury.
The Spain international has been plagued with the problem throughout the season and his latest niggle has ruled him out of Sunday’s final Premier League game at home to champions Leicester.
But Hiddink thinks the forward should be available for holders Spain this summer as long as he undergoes a careful rehabilitation process.
“Diego will be out for Sunday with his hamstring,” Hiddink confirmed.
“With a good rest and good training he might be fit for Euros but I’m not sure because there’s a medical part to it.”
