Guus Hiddink has called on Chelsea to play with pride for the remainder of the season and climb as high in the table as possible.
The Blues have had a season of trouble and sit 10 points behind the Champions League places as they head into the final stretch of the campaign.
Making the top four appears to be beyond them but Hiddink does not want his players to take their foot off the gas and is urging them to finish the season strongly.
“First of all we want to get the maximum out of the team regarding the league table, to get the best position possible,” he told the club’s official website.
“We are unbeaten in the league so far and when you play as a big club in a difficult situation, you must have pride as well.
“But also we appeal to the players to say ‘hey, you are a big club which has had a very difficult season and is recovering step by step’.”
