New Man City boss Pep Guardiola could target Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez this summer but even a huge offer may not be enough for a deal.
The Gunners’ Chile forward has had another impressive campaign in the Premier League, scoring 13 goals and claiming five assists, as Arsenal secured a second-placed finish.
The 27-year-old still has two years left on his contract at the Emirates but, with no real sign of any negotiations over an extension yet, there is speculation he could be the subject of concrete interest from City this summer.
Guardiola will arrive at the Etihad soon and will already have begun to draw up transfer targets to improve City’s squad, with Sanchez said to be on his wish-list.
However, Arsenal will be determined to keep hold of one of their key men and, even if the Citizens make a huge bid in excess of £40million, it may not be enough to force the North Londoners into a deal.
