Arsenal continue to be linked with a £20million swoop for Watford striker Odion Ighalo, but will face strong competition.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger looks set to remain in charge at the Emirates Stadium next season and has set his sights on bringing in a new striker to bolster his attack.
The Nigerian has been a revelation for the Hornets this season when firing home 14 Premier League goals, while he also bagged another as Watford knocked the Gunners out of the FA Cup.
The 26-year-old’s form has not gone unnoticed and reports are rife that Wenger will be willing to splash out as much as £20million to conclude a deal.
However the Gunners will face competition for his services as West Ham are reported to have joined the hunt, while Chelsea and Manchester United remain interested and could launch rival bids.
