Lyon boss Bruno Genesio says he is confident long-time Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette will stay with the French club.
Reports on Friday said the striker and his agent had told the board that he wanted to move on in the current window, with the Gunners, Paris Saint-Germain, and Napoli thought to be interested.
It has also been suggested that Arsenal will make a renewed attempt to sign the striker this week as boss Arsene Wenger bids to finally land the world-class striker he craves.
Lacazette was in a similar situation last summer, only to eventually sign an extension with Les Gones.
However, that deal did little to appease the speculation surrounding his future but Genesio is confident he will not lose the 25-year-old before the close of the summer window.
The coach says he has not heard anything about a possible departure for the striker and has tried to end the rumours by insisting he will stay.
“I do not feel at all disturbed by the period and all these noises,” he told Le Progress. “Moreover, he said no more and he will remain at OL. There, it’s like that.”
