Arsenal are reported to have made a fresh bid for Bolton defender Rob Holding in the hope of finally securing a deal for the youngster.
The Gunners have been working on a deal for the last week but have been unable to agree a fee with the Trotters, who will not let their star man go on the cheap.
Wanderers are thought to have already rejected one bid of £2million that would have risen to £5million with add-ons, and are holding out for closer to £7.5million.
Despite being in a perilous financial position after being relegated into League One, Bolton are in no rush to sell, particularly as there is plenty of interest in the 20-year-old.
Celtic, Everton and Bournemouth are also keen on Holding, who is set to be called into the England Under-21s, so Bolton feel a bidding war could be on the cards.
Arsenal want the deal done and dusted and reports now claim they have offered an initial £5million, with add-ons taking it close to £6million, in the hope that will be enough.
Arsenal take on Aston Villa on Sunday and they are 1/10 with Titanbet to claim all three points.
