Arsenal could be set for talks with Mauro Icardi and Alexandre Lacazette hasn’t ruled out a Lyon exit this summer either.
Inter Milan are keen to keep hold of Icardi and the player himself has stressed he is committed to the Nerazzurri but that hasn’t stopped speculation surrounding the forward’s future.
Reports in Italy claim Icardi’s representatives have travelled to London to hold talks with both the Gunners and rivals Chelsea regarding a potential switch to the Premier League.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in a new striker this summer and saw a bid for Jamie Vardy rejected by Leicester earlier in the transfer window. It is also understood the Gunners have seen a £30million bid snubbed by Lyon for Lacazette but they have retained an interest in the Frenchman and could launch a fresh bid.
Reports last week suggested Lyon have raised their asking price, ending any hopes of a move, but Lacazette appeared to encourage potential suitors to step up their interest after hitting a hat-trick in his side’s Ligue 1 opener at Nancy on Sunday.
“If there are offers that can’t be refused, I’d like to not refuse them,” Lacazette told CANAL+, when asked whether he would consider moving on from Lyon.
“But I’m very comfortable at Lyon. The proof was there today that I was in the right state of mind,.
“I scored three goals – I’m pleased. With my team-mates, everything is going well. So for me all is well.”
