Guingamp to offer starlet Ludovic Blas new deal in bid to ward off interest from Liverpool

Guingamp are lining up a lucrative new contract for Ludovic Blas to ward off interest from the likes of Liverpool and Lyon.

The 18-year-old midfielder broke into the first team last season and made 14 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring once and emerging as one of the most promising talents in French football.

And his his stock has risen further this summer after he played a key part in France’s success at the Under-19 Euros.

Now Guingamp are bracing themselves for offers and Liverpool are reportedly part of the chasing pack, as well as Inter Milan and Lyon.

According to L’Equipe, Lyon are about to start the bidding for Blas after enquiring about his availability.

However, they will be told by Guingamp that he is not for sale and the French club will instead hand him a pay rise and an extension on his current contract, which runs out in 2018.
