Stoke remain in the hunt for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, but will have to move quickly if they are to secure a deal.
Potters boss Mark Hughes is keen to bolster his ranks with quality English talent this summer and is also chasing Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond.
Grealish is likely to leave Villa following relegation to the Championship and Stoke see him as a perfect replacement for Ibrahim Afellay, who is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Stoke will face competition for the youngster’s signature as Everton are also among the clubs showing an interest, and Hughes will be keen to get the deal over the line as soon as possible.
Hughes will be kicking himself he did not get the deal done sooner, as Grealish has just starred for the England under-21s in their Toulon success, and his price is likely to have risen.
