“I think a few people are obviously hoping there will be some fireworks between them in the dug-out”

“Guardiola is very animated as a coach on the sidelines. Klopp as well. Mourinho. It’s going to be interesting.

“It’s a pity we’re not talking really about an English coach in there in the middle of them all that can sort them out.

“They will bring a massive influence to the game but there could be some bruised egos by the end of the season.”

Hoddle, a BT Sport pundit, thinks there are six teams in the title race this year – Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.

But he believes his old club Spurs could struggle with the demands of playing Champions League football.

Hoddle said: “That may end up more as a burden than something positive. If they do well in the Champions League, it is fantastic, but it will take its toll on the Premier League.
