Hoddle, a BT Sport pundit, thinks there are six teams in the title race this year – Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.
But he believes his old club Spurs could struggle with the demands of playing Champions League football.
Hoddle said: “That may end up more as a burden than something positive. If they do well in the Champions League, it is fantastic, but it will take its toll on the Premier League.
