Stoke are reportedly set to launch a swoop for Tigres striker Andre-Pierre Gignac when the summer summer transfer window opens.
The 30-year-old made the move to Mexico last summer following the expiration of his contract with Marseille in his homeland.
Gignac has settled quickly in central America, netting 28 times in 37 games, leading to a number of clubs expressing an interest in him.
Le10 Sport has reported that Stoke are currently leading the race for his services but will need to spend big to convince Tigres into doing a deal.
The report claims that Gignac has a release clause in his contract worth £20million as the Mexican club look to protect their top asset.
