Bradley was appointed as the club’s new manager soon after it was announced that Francesco Guidolin had been relieved of his duties, but Giggs was also in the frame.

Speculation had been rife that the Manchester United legend was set to replace Guidolin, but after holding talks with both Giggs and Bradley, the Swans board opted for the latter.

There is a very good chance that Giggs’ lack of experience went against him, as the Swans can ill afford to take a gamble at this stage and need someone who can bring stability back to the club.

Bradley may have not managed in the Premier League before, but he has vast experience, and the powers that be will be hoping he can turn things around at the Liberty Stadium.

Bradley has yet to be unveiled to the media but has been quoted as saying: “To go to the Premier League is special. It’s still an opportunity for me, for my family and for American football. That’s important.”
