Pep Guardiola has told Manchester City’s board to make a move for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabon international has been one of the standout players in Germany this season and has scored 33 goals in 38 games for the Bundesliga outfit this season.
All of Europe’s elite are expected to bid for the 26-year-old this summer and Dortmund are braced for a series of offers.
Man City, according to Le 10 Sport, have now joined the race for Aubameyang after Guardiola urged the club’s hierarchy to make a bid.
The incoming Spaniard, who takes over at the Etihad this summer, is concerned by the club’s lack of depth up front.
Guardiola is ready to cash in on Wilfried Bony and use some of the funds from that sale in any deal for Aubameyang.
