Sunderland have confirmed that Jan Kirchhoff, Lee Cattermole and Billy Jones have travelled to France and could face Stade Nyonnais.
David Moyes takes charge of the Black Cats for the first time on Monday night as his side face the Swiss lower league outfit, who lost 3-1 to Burnley last week.
Cattermole, Kirchhoff and Jones were left out of Saturday’s friendly against Rotherham United as a precaution, but could feature at the neutral venue of the Stade Camille-Fournier in Evian-les-Bains.
Kirchhoff, who joined Sunderland from Bayern Munich in January and played a key part in the club’s improved results during the run-in, has not yet featured in the Black Cats’ pre-season friendlies.
John O’Shea and Seb Larsson have now joined the squad following their exploits at Euro 216, but are unlikely to feature on Monday with a number of youngsters set to start.
