Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel has suggested Arsenal should forget about signing German defender Matthias Ginter.
Recent reports in Germany had claimed that the Gunners were keen on a swoop for the 22-year-old defender, who missed Dortmund’s pre-season trip to China with a virus.
There had even been rumours suggesting that Arsenal transfer negotiator Dick Law had flown to Germany over some matter.
But Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel said: “With Ginter, I think everything is said. German clubs wanted to sign him and now English clubs want to sign him.
“I don’t know if everything is true or it is just rumours but we made our point clear – Matthias is our player and stays our player.”
Ginter, signed from Freiburg for 10m euros in 2014, made 24 Bundesliga appearances last season and scored three goals.
