Liverpool and Manchester United target Mattia Perin will not be leaving Genoa this summer – unless a top European club sells their goalkeeper.
The 23-year-old has been scouted by several sides in Europe this season after impressing in Serie A.
The goalkeeper has been heavily linked with Liverpool and United over the past 18 months as a replacement for Simon Mignolet or David de Gea.
However Perin’s agent, Matteo Roggi, believes his client will only move to a top club if they shift their current goalkeeper.
“I’ve been hearing these rumours for the last four years,” Roggi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Unless the wheel of international goalkeepers starts spinning, nobody is going to move.
“As soon as somebody moves, a domino effect begins. He’s ready for a leap of quality into a top club, but he could also take an intermediate leap and play in the Europa League.
“We’re ready for the change, but we’re peaceful about it. We won’t leave just for the sake of leaving, as he’s already playing in a great team.”
