Crystal Palace are close to securing the future of Dwight Gayle after offering the striker a new improved deal.
Gayle came close to leaving the Eagles last summer after the club accepted a £6million bid from Bristol City but the player turned down the move as he did not want to drop down to the Championship.
There was further interest during the January transfer window with Norwich among the clubs showing an interest, but once again he remained at Selhurst Park.
Gayle has had his problems on the injury front this season, but when he has been fit he has shown his quality and scored a crucial goal in the 2-2 draw with West Ham on Saturday.
The 26-year-old has just over 12 months to run on his current deal but reports claim Palace are ready to offer him a fresh contract that will stretch until 2021.
