Aritz Aduriz scored his first international goal for Spain in a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Italy at the Stadio Friuli in Udine on Thursday.
The hosts took the lead in the 67th minute through Lorenzo Insigne, who slid in to meet Emanuele Giaccherini’s cross.
It was the first goal Spain had conceded in nearly 700 minutes.
But less than three minutes later, Aduriz levelled the score in his first appearance for La Roja since 2010.
Alvaro Morata, who appeared to be offside, headed towards goal following a free kick and Gigi Buffon made the save, but Aduriz was there to tap home.
Elsewhere on Thursday, Cenk Tosun scored twice to give Turkey a 2-1 win over Sweden.
Tosun had given his side the lead in the first half but Andreas Granqvist equalised on 74 minutes.
But Tosun found his second goal nine minutes from time with a header following a free kick to give the hosts the victory.
Nicolai Jorgensen scored twice in five minutes as Denmark defeated Iceland 2-1.
Jorgensen’s brace early in the second half held up despite Arnor Ingvi Traustason’s consolation goal for the visitors in the 90th minute.
Simon Church saved Wales from a miserable Euro 2016 send-off in front of their own fans as Michael O’Neill was denied his his first friendly win as Northern Ireland manager in a 1-1 draw.

Earlier, Singapore defeated Myanmar 2-1 with Fazrul Nawaz’s late goal, while Solomon Islands were 2-0 winners against Papua New Guinea.
