Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis is a target for Marseille, who are keen to sign him on a season-long loan deal.
The French club are on the hunt for a new striker after selling Belgium international Michy Batshuayi to Chelsea last week and reports claim that they are targeting Gomis to come in and spend a campaign at the Stade Velodrome.
However it is also claimed Marseille are currently unable to agree on his salary as they are not willing to take on the full total of his wage packet.
Swansea have offered to keep paying 40 per cent of his salary, but Marseille are still not happy with this and hope that the Premier League club will bear 70 per cent of his wages.
Sunderland have also expressed an interest in Gomis and Marseille will need to speed up their negotiations if they are to ensure they can bring in their target.
Gomis is currently under contract at the Liberty Stadium until 2018.
