Reports in France claim Everton are considering entering the race to sign Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M’Vila.
New boss Ronald Koeman is looking to add to his squad and is considering a move for the Frenchman, who impressed whilst on loan at Sunderland last season, and is weighing up whether to challenge the Black Cats for his signature.
M’Vila’s contract with Rubin has another six months left to run and Sunderland had hoped they would terminate his deal early so he could sign permanently for them.
However, the Russian club rejected that proposal and are instead demanding a hefty fee for M’Vila as they are under no pressure to sell due to their financial strength.
Sunderland remain confident they can come to an agreement over a deal for M’Vila before the start of the new Premier League season in August, but now Everton could be ready to rival their interest.
