Euro 2016 player of the tournament so far, Dimitri Payet, has warned the opposition that France will be difficult to stop now.
Payet has been outstanding for the home nation and his goals have lit up the tournament, so much so there has been talk of mega-money moves to the likes of Real Madrid in the future.
The Hammers will be doing all they can to keep him and the player himself is ignoring speculation and concentrating on playing for France and he believes they could go all the way.
“When we play our way we are difficult to stop,” Payet said to Uefa.
“Our fans were great – even though we were losing, they were still behind us. It is the worst thing that could have happened to go 1-0 down with a penalty early on. In the first half we got a bit annoyed and started playing their game.
“They tried to gain a bit of time and we wasted a lot of energy, but then we really started to play our game.”
