Chelsea are reported to have put Leicester playmaker Riyad Mahrez high on their wanted list as they plan a squad overhaul.
The Blues have endured a terrible season and look set to appoint Italian coach Antonio Conte, who could be handed as much as £130million to rebuild his squad.
Conte is believed to be drawing up a list of potential targets ahead of his arrival at Stamford Bridge and, according to reports in Italy, Mahrez’s name features high upon his wishlist.
The Algeria international has been one of the Foxes’ standout players in their charge for the title and his form has not gone unnoticed with Barcelona and Arsenal also said to be monitoring his progress.
Leicester will be able to offer Mahrez Champions League football next season but that will not deter Chelsea, who see the player as the perfect replacement for Eden Hazard should he leave in the summer.
