Cardiff have completed the signing of striker Rickie Lambert for an undisclosed fee from Premier League West Brom.
The ex-England international has agreed a two-year contract with the Sky Bet Championship Bluebirds, subject to international clearance.
“I am very excited to be here at Cardiff City,” the 34-year-old told the club’s official website.
“The sooner I can get on the scoresheet and start helping my new club, the better. I’m used to being relied on to score goals.”
Lambert, who won the last of his 11 international caps against Scotland in November 2014, began his career at Blackpool and has also represented Macclesfield, Stockport, Rochdale, Bristol Rovers, Southampton and boyhood club Liverpool.
He scored once in 26 appearances for the Baggies after arriving at The Hawthorns last summer.
