Former Chelsea and Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas targeted by Bundesliga side Wolfsburg

Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas could be set for a return to the dugout in charge of German side Wolfsburg.

Bild have reported that the Bundesliga club are looking to replace former boss Dieter Hecking with the Portuguese tactician, who has been out of work since the summer.

Since leaving Spurs in December 2013, Villas-Boas spent two years in charge of Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The 39-year-old took the decision to leave Zenit in the summer in pursuit of a return to one of Europe’s top leagues.

With Wolfsburg languishing in the lower half of the Bundesliga table, having won just once in seven games, Villas-Boas could be set to take over and begin to rebuild his own reputation.
