Southampton will offer new deals to Jose Fonte, Cedric Soares and Dusan Tadic in a move to stop rival clubs targeting them this month.
Manchester United are the latest club to be linked with Saints skipper Fonte, who impressed during Portugal’s Euro 2016 victory this summer.
And Saints will attempt to kill the speculation by offering Fonte a pay rise while they intend to tie his international colleague Soares and Serbian star Tadic down to new long-term deals.
Fonte only signed a new three-year contract last October which runs until 2018, when he will be 34.
Right-back Soares and attacking midfielder Tadic are in line for new four-year deals which will keep them at the club until 2020.
Southampton have been on a new contract drive since May and handed new deals to Virgil Van Dijk, Fraser Forster, James Ward-Prowse, Steven Davis, Ryan Bertrand and Shane Long.
