Hull are among the clubs chasing striker Steven Fletcher following his release from Premier League rivals Sunderland.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce is looking to bolster his attack after winning promotion back to the top flight and Fletcher, a player he has tried to sign before, is on his wanted list.
Sunderland knocked back a bid from Hull during the 2015 January transfer window as both clubs were battling to beat the drop and the Black Cats would not sell to a rival.
Hull eventually went down and Fletcher has since struggled to make an impact at the Stadium of Light, spending much of last season on loan at Marseille.
Fletcher is now available on a free transfer and Bruce would like to get him on board at the KC Stadium.
The Scotland international is not short of offers though as new Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to do a deal, while Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday are also in the hunt.
