Leroy Fer says he is happy at Swansea and will do all he can over the remaining games to earn a permanent deal with the club.
The midfielder has impressed since arriving on loan from Queens Park Rangers, leading to assistant boss Alan Curtis singing his praises earlier this week.
Fer impressed in the recent victory over Arsenal and then helped turn the game when he came off the bench in the 1-0 victory over his former club Norwich at the weekend.
There are nine games remaining this season and Fer says he hopes to do enough during that time to earn a long-term contract at the Liberty Stadium.
“I’m pleased I played for 40 minutes last Saturday and I think I had a good game,” he said. “But I have to be consistent.
“The assist was good, but in defence and attack I need to keep concentrating and try to be an important player for Swansea. There are still nine games to go. I will try to concentrate on those nine games.
“What happens after we’ll have to see. For now I’m just enjoying my time at Swansea. I’m really happy here.”
