New Sunderland manager David Moyes is hoping to be reunited with Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini for a third time.
Moyes was recently appointed as Sunderland boss, following Sam Allardyce’s departure for the England job, and the Scot is now hoping to bring in some reinforcements this summer.
The 53-year-old former Manchester United boss is said to be eyeing up a couple of players he worked with when in charge at Old Trafford and Fellaini is top of the list.
The duo first worked together at Everton in 2008 before the Belgium international then became a Red Devil in 2013 when signed by Moyes after he succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson at the Theatre of Dreams.
Fellaini has struggled to impress the United faithful in his spell at the club and the chance to work under his former manager could prove too hard an opportunity to turn down.
Sunderland are hoping to tie up a deal before the start of the new Premier League season and an offer around the £13million mark could be enough to land the 28-year-old.
Moyes is also said to be showing an interest in Adnan Januzaj with a year-long loan deal the option said to be on the table.
