‘Fantastic atmosphere, proper football crowd!’ – West Ham fans react to last Upton Park outing

Upton Park bowed out in style on Tuesday when West Ham won their final ever game at the east London Stadium. 

Slaven Bilic’s men were 3-2 winners over Manchester United, boosting their European hopes in the process, 112 years after the first game was played at the Boleyn Ground. 

Winston Reid won it ten minutes from time, heading past David De Gea to send the capacity crowd roaring for one final time. 

As fans prepared to watch a closing ceremony before leaving the ground for one last time, those on social media were delighted with the manner of the victory. 

Despite crowd trouble pushing the kick-off backwards and horrific scenes outside the ground, the vast majority made it a memorable evening – see below:
