Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has played down suggestions he could make a move to sign Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Spanish midfielder has been heavily linked with a return to La Liga with Real, and rumours started to reach fever pitch as he sat out the clash with West Ham on Monday night.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admitted after the game that Fabregas is in his plans but would have to fight with everyone else for a place in his side.
Fabregas himself is said to be happy at Chelsea as he believes Conte can deliver the Premier League title this season, but that is not stopping reports suggesting Real will swoop.
However Zidane has suggested he already has enough midfielders and will not move for Fabregas.
“If you want to put another central midfielder into the mix then it becomes complicated,” he said. “Cesc is a great player, but it is not very straightforward.
“I am going to end up with a squad where three or four players do not get selected. To therefore put another player in there makes it difficult.”
