FA Cup quarter final draw: Man Utd host Brighton as Chelsea make trip to Leicester

8:15pm: Thanks for joining us here at Starsport for the draw of the FA Cup quarter-finals.

See you again very soon for more action.

8:10pm: Perhaps not the most exciting draw there’s ever been and all the big boys will be happy.

Leicester hosting Chelsea is intriguing and we, of course, await the results of this weekend’s other ties.

But you’d have to say, it’s looking good for the Manchester giants, Tottenham and Chelsea.

8:05pm: The draw for the FA Cup fifth round is:

Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea v Rochdale or Tottenham

Manchester United v Brighton

Leicester v Chelsea

Wigan or Manchester City v Southampton

8:00pm: We are finally ready to do the draw.

The balls are in the pot, Owen and Given are in place, here we go!

7:55pm: Robbie Savage – and his dodgy barnet – is still chatting away on BT Sport.

Hopefully he’ll settle down soon and we can head over to the draw. Owen and Given are awaiting!

7:45pm: Before we get to the draw, plenty of people are talking about the controversial scenes in United’s win at Huddersfield following more VAR drama.

Juan Mata thinks the system is ‘needed’ even though it saw his goal ruled out.

When asked if he thought he had scored a goal, the Spaniard told BT Sport: “I did, I celebrated but apparently the VAR they showed it was offside. I don’t know, what do you think? It was very tight.

“The important thing is that it didn’t really matter as we won anyway.”

When asked if he thought there are problems with VAR that need resolving, Mata added: “I’m up for it and I think it’s needed especially when there’s a clear decision and a decision that can change the game like a goal, offside, red card, but hopefully it will be quicker as well. I think it’s good for football to be a bit more fair.”

Are you a fan of VAR??
