Sunderland are ready to allow Liam Bridcutt to leave the club for a knock down fee of £500,000, according to reports.
The Black Cats paid £2.5m for the midfield enforcer when he was bought from Brighton in January 2014 but he never quite got going for the club and made just 36 first-team appearances in two-and-a-half years at the club.
There will be no shortage of takers for the player who spent six months of last season on loan at Leeds United where his form improved to the extent that he won his Scotland place back after three years out of the national side.
Bridcutt admitted during his time at Leeds that he would be interested in making a permanent move to Elland Road but he will have plenty of options.
