“It’s not true that other people are not allowed to touch them. Some goalkeepers give them to their kit man, but I take them home,” he said.

“I wash them the evening before a game. If we are at home and going to the hotel at 8pm, around six or seven I will quickly wash them in the washing machine, with water and no powder, 20 minutes express, 30 degrees, so they don’t shrink.
