Keown says the ex-Juventus star must forget about the mind-boggling numbers that have surrounding his deal and just focusing on his football.

The Gunners great added: “Those figures are not his fault, that was all to do with the club.

“It shows the muscle power of Manchester United and the player has got to forget about those figures and just go out and perform on the pitch.

“It doesn’t matter what the clubs have paid for each player or what they’re paying him now, he’ll go out on a level playing field and he just has to prove that he is one of the very best.”
