Everton will always be a feeder club… it’s time for them to sell John Stones to Man City

The England and Everton star has the footballing world at his feet following a stunning rise to stardom that has seen him become one of the finest defensive prospects in Europe.

But he must feel like his boots are tied together right now. The Toffees must have rocks in their heads if they believe Stones, 22, is worth £50m.

This time 12 months ago Chelsea were the club attempting to sign Stones, but saw three bids totalling £30m steadfastly rejected.
