Everton are battling it out with AC Milan for FC Sion defender Leo Lacroix, according to reports in Italy.
New Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is set to splash the cash this summer under new owner Farhad Moshiri and the club have reportedly tabled a £6.6million bid for the 24-year-old Swiss.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are prepared to enter a bidding war with the Merseysiders for Lacroix, with Sion set to profit with a potential fee nearing £10m.
The Swiss club are awaiting Milan’s next move before deciding whether to reject Everton’s opening offer.
But Koeman is confident he can persuade the centre-back to move to the Premier League.
