Everton are reportedly set to enter into talks with Sevilla boss Unai Emery in the coming days as they search for a new manager.
Everton are already up-and-running in their search for a new man to lead the club following the sacking of Roberto Martinez prior to the final game of the Premier League season.
The likes of Frank de Boer and Ronald Koeman have been linked with the Goodison Park club, but Everton have yet to make contact.
However, Emery appears to be their preferred option and is expected to meet with Everton representatives in the next 72 hours.
Emerys reputation has been growing quickly in Spain, having won three successive Europa League titles with Sevilla, while he also has the chance to add the Copa del Rey as they face Barcelona in the final on Sunday.
The 44-year-old has no experience of English football but has previously spoken of a desire to work in the Premier League.
Everton are expected to have more cash to spend in ahead of 2016-17 following the successful takeover bid which was confirmed towards the end of last season, which could convince Emery to commit.
