Everton striker Oumar Niasse has been commended for donating footballs, sports equipment and trophies to support Senegalese clubs.
A report in Conakrysports calls Everton’s recent £13.5million signing “an example to follow for all African players” after the donations were made this week.
Niasse, who has joined up with the Senegal squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger, has provided between five and 10 new footballs apiece for all the clubs in Senegal’s top two divisions – totalling 210.
The 25-year-old has also promised new kit and equipment for the players who finish as the top scorer and best player in the national competitions, while also providing new trophies for the Senegal Cup, Senegal League Cup and Championship.
Niasse has made four substitute appearances for Everton since joining Roberto Martinez’s side from Lokomotiv Moscow in the January transfer window.
