Everton are stepping up their search for Ronald Koeman’s successor and it would now appear that Hornets boss Silva is on their radar after impressing since arriving in England.
The Portuguese almost pulled off a miracle by keeping Hull in the Premier League last season before switching to Watford, where he has also started well.
The 40-year-old has only been in charge at Watford for 11 games and the powers that be have no intention of allowing Everton to speak to him over the vacant hot seat at Goodison Park.
It is also claimed that Silva is happy at Vicarage Road and is not interested in heading to Everton where the pressure will be on almost immediately.
Sam Allardyce and Burnley boss Sean Dyche are also in the frame as reports continue to suggest the Everton board are split over who they want in charge.
