Everton are expected to announce the arrival of Ronald Koeman as manager after agreeing a compensation fee with Southampton.
Koeman’s agent Rob Jansen told the media in the manager’s native the Netherlands that a deal had been reached between his client and Everton over the weekend, but the two clubs were yet to agree a compensation package.
The latest speculation indicates Everton and Southampton are close to finalising a £5million deal for Koeman to take charge of the Goodison Park outfit, with an announcement expected as soon as terms are agreed.
Koeman has spent two season at St Mary’s, guiding Saints to eighth and sixth place Premier league finishes, but is now set to agree to a long-term deal with Everton.
The Merseyside outfit are understood to be ready to hand Koeman a £100million transfer budget this summer.
